Explore the mechanics of human movement in this immersive 3-day STEM intensive; designed for high school students how are ambitious about career pathways in Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy, and Performance Recovery. What will you learn? Students will gain a deeper understanding of hamstring anatomy, map the hamstring complex from origin to insertion, and learn the differences between a hamstring strain, hamstring tear, and hamstring tendinopathy.
The course will also discuss the biomechanical models of sprinting and jumping. Student-Athletes will learn how to assess common hamstring injuries, study real world muscle strains and tear pathologies. Students will will be introduced to advanced healing technologies and demonstrate real world application with non-invasive deep tissue healing machines and devices. This program serves as a premier Career and Technical Education (CTE) introduction to high-demand fields. It bridges the gap between strength & conditioning, sports medicine, and sports performance.
Students will step into the shoes of a sports medicine practitioner, physical therapist, and performance recovery specialist. Over three fast paced days, students will learn how the hamstrings generate explosive power and analyze common athletic injuries. Finally, they will gain rare hands-on experience using the industry's most innovative recovery technologies to accelerate cellular and molecular healing.
